The cameras will take you to where the action is: whether in the
heat, dust and sweat of basic training in Jack’s Valley; in
a science lab as cadets fend off sleep to complete a class project,
or on the broad expanse of the Terrazzo as the “basics”
proudly become fourth class cadets on Acceptance Day. We'll experience
the extremes of human emotions along with the cadets as we see them
challenged in every way.
Every
story needs someone to root for. The surest way for the viewer to
get involved is to allow them to get to know the stories
of the individual Air Force cadets and to follow their trials
and tribulations to ultimate triumph. The Academy will follow the
trials of a number of cadets from diverse backgrounds as they face
the greatest challenges of their lives.
The
stories of the individuals will be interwoven with one another to
illustrate the rich texture of Academy life. We'll see our featured
cadets interact with others, with faculty and administration, and
with visiting grads. Rather than ‘talking heads’ Wings
of Honor will show participants fully engaged in the education
that will form them into the leaders of tomorrow.
We’ll experience it all through the eyes of today’s
cadets, as well as the from the seasoned perspective of the grads
who have come before. And we’ll begin to understand why the
experiences forge such tight bonds with the Academy, create so many
life-long friendships and provide inspiration for all that follows.
There
will be special emphasis on character development classes and events
such as the National Character and Leadership symposium, Academy
Character Enrichment Seminars (ACES), Leaders in Flight Today (LIFT)
seminars, and Respect and Responsibility (R&R).
And in the end, we’ll know that in it’s fiftieth year
of service, the Air Force Academy truly is building leaders of character
for America.
Wings of Honor will be available in a number of different
formats for programming in one, two or four episodes, and with and
without commercials. Website at www.wingsofhonormovie.com.
